The State of Kansas and Johnson County serve as models that most the country follows in regards to standardizing alcohol/drug treatment services. In a combined effort they have extablished paramaters to ensure that proper treatment is recieved by the individual for their benefit and the benefit of the community. The following are the basic guidelines established, and each agency will amend them for curriculum, scheduling, etc.
* Please note that in Johnson County you may not complete treatment where you recieved your evaluation.
ADIS (Level I Education)
An 8 hour alcohol and drug information class.
ADIS II (Level II Education)
A 12 hour alcohol and drug information class.
Standard Outpatient Treatment
15 weeks of of group counseling (education & therapy) combined with individual sesssions.
Relapse Prevention
9 total hours, and two of them are individuals.
Aftercare
We do offer aftercare, and that is determined by your evaluation and your treatment provider.
5 hours of counseling per week lasting generally 10 to 12 weeks in duration (usually followed by aftercare)
Intensive Outpatient Counseling
9 hours per week, then tappering down to 5 hours. Intensive lasts a minimum of 10 weeks, and is followed up by aftercare.
Additional Stipulations
AA, NA, CAG, or other support groups
Victim Impact Panel - a 2 hour presentation by MADD
