The Importance Of Goals
In 1953 a group of researchers conducted a survey of the graduates of Yale University. Out of all the graduates 3% had practiced goal setting, and had a set of clearly defined goals.
Twenty years latter the researchers went back and visited the class of '53. They found that the 3% who had clear and written goals had amassed a fortune worth more than the other 97% combined.
Goals and motivation are routinely covered during our sessions. In fact, each week focuses on a value or principle, such as perseverance, adaptation, etc.
Our belief
At Phoenix we assist the individual in not only their substance issues, but also providing ways to enrich and develop his or her own life. Over our years of experience we have come to believe that if you improve the quality of a person's life -- the "need" for drugs and alcohol go down. That is why Phoenix is so much more than just a treatment provider. We believe in building up the individual and not tearing he or she down. Our primary goal is to assist you in addressing and putting the past behind you to make room for the new future ahead of you.
